That’s been a question I’ve been asked at every orientation this month. Fortunately, we have an answer for you now! We have three ways: either through Paypal, or two methods in person. Each one works a little differently. Please visit the Memberships page for new details!
We’re going both digital and completely analog this week. The two-part Learn Your DSLR series begins on Friday night, while all day Saturday is devoted to experimenting with chemicals in the Creative Darkroom Manipulation workshop. Check out the Workshops page for details! RSVP and deposits are required by Thursday 11/15 at 4pm.
We’re mixing chemicals and getting ready for this week… not only for working in the room but for a River Arts District Studio Stroll social! Come check out the room, meet other darkroom enthusiasts, sign up for orientation, classes and workshops, and hang out for a bit. Local Kickstarter backers can also pick up their rewards. Spread the word through Facebook!

Three cheers (plus a few more) to our amazing volunteers Kent Irish and Ian Riley for their work in building tables, putting in our A/C, and constructing our entry curtain system, among many other projects. Their help has been immeasurable. All of this should nearly be finished before our cleanup day on Sunday, at which all are welcome!
Want to help us clean, paint and rearrange? (Sounds glorious, right?) The community cleanup day will be from noon-5pm, Sunday 9/23. Contact Bridget or RSVP to the Facebook event. If necessary, we will have another cleanup session on Tuesday 9/25 from 7-10pm — RSVP through the Facebook event.
Thanks to so many wonderful folks in Asheville and beyond, we made our Kickstarter goal. The Asheville Darkroom will open this fall!
